I am extremely disappointed in Tern electric bike. I own a Tern vektron D7i. I rarely used it and still look brand new (4 yo). The battery (Bafang M400 drive) no longer works. I reached out to local dealers and was informed they can’t get a hold of that battery. I reached out to Tern themselves, spoke with Josh and was informed they no longer contract with that battery company. He told me i have to change out the whole battery system for over $900 plus cost to have tech install it. The bike was not cheap to begin with and a short 4 years later i am slap with this high cost. Ridiculous! I was desperate and agreed to buy the system. He said he will have to get back to me. I did not get the response yet. Will not buy tern product again. Update: Tern responded and offer to sell the battery package for $780 plus labor. I think i am just going to toss it.
