Frame locks are the basic protection of your bike. If you’re just popping into the bakery, they are a practical way to protect your bike from quick theft in one easy step.

The Abus Shield XPlus 5755L NR is made of hardened special steel and the shackle offers a thickness of 8.5 millimeters. The extra large inner diameter allows the lock to be fitted to two-wheelers with tires up to 70 mm wide.

 

  • 8.5 mm thick locking shackle
  • The shackle, the case as well as supporting elements of the locking mechanism are made proprietary, specially hardened steel alloys
  • Accessories can easily be fitted to the locking mechanism on the lock housing
  • ABUS XPlus cylinder for high protection against manipulation
  • The R (key retaining) version holds the key when the lock is open, the NR (non key retaining) version allows the key to be removed
  • For added security pair with the Abus Frame Lock Loop Chain, sold separately 
  • Compatible with the following Tern bicycles: GSD, HSD, NBD, Quick Haul Long 

    Quick Haul, and Short Haul

Useful, simple

No real surprises - just an easy to use lock from a reputable company. Using this on a Tern Quick Haul. Key stays in the lock while you ride, and travels with you when the bike is locked. Pair this with the ABUS chain for additional security but just one key. I use this lock when I can keep an eye on the bike - at a cafe, or a quick grocery run. I pair with a U-lock when I'm away from the bike.
